About Me

Hello, and thanks for stopping by! My name is Kayli Parks and I’m a 24-year-old freelance web and graphic designer based in Sacramento, CA.

I was first introduced to the web design field in 2015 while working for a book publisher. I was assigned to redesign a basic HTML site with WordPress. The entire process was trial-and-error—where I taught myself how to use the program, figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Working on this website made me fall in love with WordPress, and I enjoyed using my design skills in a technical way.

In 2016, I decided to branch out and open my own web design business as a freelancer. Throughout the years, I’ve worked with a variety of individuals, private companies, and non-profits in helping them create a customized WordPress website.

Thank You

The past 7 years have been filled with a lot of great learning experiences—and I’m very lucky to have the support of my family, friends, and mentors behind me. A special thank-you to the following people who have continued helping me through my journey as a designer:

Mrs. Carmon:
Thank you for teaching me all that I need to know about Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator! Not only have your classes been extremely helpful the past 8 years, but your passion for design has inspired me to continue on in this career path.

Doug Britton:
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help redesign your site and get my foot in the world of web design. I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am now without your help.

Professor Mead:
Thank you for helping me learn more about HTML and CSS in a clear and concise way. Your class(es) have been nothing but helpful with what I want to do as a freelancer.

Tanya Flores:
Thank you for mentoring me, giving me insights on how to properly run a small business, and expanding my clientele.

Todd Bailey:
Thank you for taking me under your wing, and giving me the opportunity to work with a bigger digital design agency. You and the GreyDot Media team have been nothing short of amazing & supportive.

Alvaro Mora:
Thank you for all of your amazing photography and continued support throughout my journey.
